Event Waiver
Bowls Singapore Event Registration Terms & Waiver
By registering for any Bowls Singapore (“BSG”) competition, event, or programme (including "Learn to Play"), you agree to the following:
1. Rules, Conduct & Compliance: You agree to abide by all conditions of play, health and safety guidelines, codes of conduct, and instructions from staff and officials of BSG, Sport Singapore ("Sport SG"), and host venues (such as The Tanglin Club and Singapore Cricket Club) (“Host Venues”). BSG reserves the right to refuse entry, suspend, or remove any participant for non-compliance or improper conduct without refund.
2. Event Changes & Cancellations: BSG reserves the right to alter event schedules, formats, or venues, or to cancel/postpone an event due to adverse weather, safety concerns, or unforeseen circumstances. Registration fees are non-refundable except where explicitly determined by BSG.
3. Health Declaration & Medical Consent: You confirm that you (or your registered minor) are physically fit to participate. In the event of a medical emergency, you authorize BSG, Sport SG, or Host Venues to arrange necessary first aid or emergency medical treatment at your own expense.
4. Assumption of Risk & Liability Release: You acknowledge that participation involves inherent risks. To the maximum extent permitted by law, BSG, Sport SG, Host Venues, and their respective officers, staff, officials, and volunteers shall not be liable for any personal injury, death, or loss/damage to personal property.
5. Indemnity: You agree to fully indemnify and hold harmless BSG, Sport SG, and Host Venues against all claims, liabilities, losses, damages, or legal costs arising directly or indirectly from your (or your registered minor's) willful acts, omissions, or negligence.
6. Personal Data Protection (PDPA): You consent to BSG and Host Venues collecting, using, and disclosing your personal data for registration, competition administration, and event communication in accordance with the PDPA and the BSG Privacy Policy. You may withdraw consent for direct marketing at any time by contacting our DPO in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
7. Media & Publicity Consent: You consent to being photographed, recorded, or livestreamed at BSG events, and grant BSG the right to use such media for reporting, promotional, and broadcast purposes. If you or your minor wish to opt out, please inform event staff at registration.
8. Declaration of Accuracy & Truthfulness: You declare and warrant that all statements, facts, and personal information provided in your application are true, accurate, and complete. Any false, misleading, or inaccurate declaration may result in the immediate cancellation of your registration, disqualification from the event or competition, and forfeiture of any fees paid.
9. Minors: If registering a minor (under 18 years of age), you confirm you are their parent or legal guardian and accept these terms on their behalf.
10. Governing Law & Severability: These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Singapore, and all third-party beneficiaries (including Sport SG and Host Venues) shall have the right to enforce the liability and indemnity provisions under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 2001. If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
